Read my frenzs blog n glad that they are happy with their life. It's inevitable that I feel my distance with my frenzs seems to drift apart when everyone is preoccupied with their other half. Well, that's just part n parcel of life. Eventually when we settle down and have our own families, we would be more occupied than now. May all my frenzs remains happy and blissful in their relationship.
Was thinking of which restaurant to go for dinner on YQ birthday. Asked my ex-colleague when we met in the pub few days ago and she suggested Il Lido, Equinox and Jewel Box. But these places seems to be a bit steep for my budget cos I'm a wanderer right now mah. Was goggling and found this restaurant and went to their website. It's located at Middle Road near Bugis and i like the ambience as seen from the website. It has a sense of mystery which is why the restaurant is called "My Secret Garden". Will comment on it after I been there.
Went to Lifespa @ Pacific Plaza with YQ on sat. We had 60min deep tissue massage for $25 and top up $6 for Seaweed back masque which is available through the UOB credit card promotion. All along, my purpose of owning credit cards is to make use of such discount and offers available, not to indulge myself into becoming a spendthrift. Btw I had watched the Confessions of a Shopaholic and I definitely wldn't allow myself to become one. It's a ball rolling effect and it's dangerous. Back to the massage, as usual after the massage sessions, the sales promoter would be there to psych and tempting you to sign up their package. Well, it seems pretty attractive that for $83 per mth to be paid for a period of 36mths, you can enjoy 42 sessions of 60min body massage + 42 sessions of body scrub + 42 sessions of jazcuzzi and suana and the sessions can also be used by other people. But after calculating the total amount to be paid, it's $2,988. After the experience of signing up the yoga package, I learnt my lesson. Once bitten twice shy. Somemore we find that the spa experience at Spa Village is much better. I had previously sign up the package of $388 which comes with free $100 worth of treatment and can be used to deduct each spa session of your choice. I paid for the package almost 3 years ago during my first visit and my utilisation rate is once every year cos I had only went for 3 spas until now. Almost utilised the package after the last session which I went with YQ for the couple vintage 2hrs retreat some times back.
All along, I find that Singapore is just so so so small. I guess the norms that couple did on weekends are watching movies, shopping, eat and what else? Sometimes we also feel headache of thinking places to go. Had been to a couple of not so frequently visited places which I had posted in my travelogue and there are somemore places which I intend to visit which I listed down on my "to visit list". Gotta go to these places some days. If my frenz has any interesting places to recommend, must tell me hoh. I did thought of driving to Malaysia once in a while but my concern is YQ is unfamiliar with the roads. But now he bought a GPS, hmm... I wonder if we can try going on a weekend trip. Definitely not 2 of us lah cos I definitely don't wish to get lost in Malaysia, the more the merrier.
