Read my frenzs blog n glad that they are happy with their life. It's inevitable that I feel my distance with my frenzs seems to drift apart when everyone is preoccupied with their other half. Well, that's just part n parcel of life. Eventually when we settle down and have our own families, we would be more occupied than now. May all my frenzs remains happy and blissful in their relationship.

Was thinking of which restaurant to go for dinner on YQ birthday. Asked my ex-colleague when we met in the pub few days ago and she suggested Il Lido, Equinox and Jewel Box. But these places seems to be a bit steep for my budget cos I'm a wanderer right now mah. Was goggling and found this restaurant and went to their website. It's located at Middle Road near Bugis and i like the ambience as seen from the website. It has a sense of mystery which is why the restaurant is called "My Secret Garden". Will comment on it after I been there.

Went to Lifespa @ Pacific Plaza with YQ on sat. We had 60min deep tissue massage for $25 and top up $6 for Seaweed back masque which is available through the UOB credit card promotion. All along, my purpose of owning credit cards is to make use of such discount and offers available, not to indulge myself into becoming a spendthrift. Btw I had watched the Confessions of a Shopaholic and I definitely wldn't allow myself to become one. It's a ball rolling effect and it's dangerous. Back to the massage, as usual after the massage sessions, the sales promoter would be there to psych and tempting you to sign up their package. Well, it seems pretty attractive that for $83 per mth to be paid for a period of 36mths, you can enjoy 42 sessions of 60min body massage + 42 sessions of body scrub + 42 sessions of jazcuzzi and suana and the sessions can also be used by other people. But after calculating the total amount to be paid, it's $2,988. After the experience of signing up the yoga package, I learnt my lesson. Once bitten twice shy. Somemore we find that the spa experience at Spa Village is much better. I had previously sign up the package of $388 which comes with free $100 worth of treatment and can be used to deduct each spa session of your choice. I paid for the package almost 3 years ago during my first visit and my utilisation rate is once every year cos I had only went for 3 spas until now. Almost utilised the package after the last session which I went with YQ for the
couple vintage 2hrs retreat some times back.

All along, I find that Singapore is just so so so small. I guess the norms that couple did on weekends are watching movies, shopping, eat and what else? Sometimes we also feel headache of thinking places to go. Had been to a couple of not so frequently visited places which I had posted in my travelogue and there are somemore places which I intend to visit which I listed down on my "to visit list". Gotta go to these places some days. If my frenz has any interesting places to recommend, must tell me hoh. I did thought of driving to Malaysia once in a while but my concern is YQ is unfamiliar with the roads. But now he bought a GPS, hmm... I wonder if we can try going on a weekend trip. Definitely not 2 of us lah cos I definitely don't wish to get lost in Malaysia, the more the merrier.

May and June will be a more interesting months because of t
he Singapore Art Festival and the International Museum day. This year, the festival opening is Hélios II by La Compagnie Malabar (France) at the Marina Barrage from 15-17 May at 8pm. The closing performance is Crackers? by The World Famous (UK) at Yishun open field from 13-14 Jun at 8pm. Time to soak myself in the art atmosphere again. There are lot of performances lining up and of cos there are free performances which shouldn't be miss. Do visit: http://2009.singaporeartsfest.com/#/outreach for more informations about the free performances. Btw the schedules for "Arts on the move" will be only be available from May onwards. The International Museum day is from 23-31 May and more information is only available from May.

Started to study this week but momentum is slow. Gotta get myself into the mood of studying. Had been quite sloppy in studying. I seem to lose interest in studying. So sick of it. Must keep telling myself that i left 2 modules, get it over and fast. Gambade!!!

I make tiramisu again and this time it's not as sweet as the previous one. It's easier cos i already know what to do. Somemore the tiramisu is not required to be baked, which makes it a lot easier than baking cakes. It's really a nice dessert and I like the meaning behind it.

I had been thinking of getting cervix cancer vaccine. I was ignorant about cervix cancer until I had my body checkup last Nov. I guess most of you would be having the same mindset as me. The doctor recommended me to get cervix cancer vaccine before the age of 26 and before one become sexually active. However the vaccine is not cheap, cost about $400 - $600 for a total of three dose. According to the Health Promotion Board, a woman is diagnosed with cervical cancer every two days. Cervical cancer ranks second to breast cancer as the most common cancer among women in the Asia—Pacific region. Unlike other cancer, cervix cancer can be prevented through vaccination and papsmear screening. The vaccine is not 100% effective against cancer but prevention is better than cure and the vaccine is for lifetime. This is the cancer that killed Anita Mui. Read an article in Wanbao that there was a talk on 4 Apr and a promotion of $99 per dose if took during the talk. Haiz... I only read the paper ytd, should i have read it earlier, I would definitely go for the talk. I just google that there is a promotion of $375 for 3 dose at a clinic in Bedok. The hospitals seems to offer the vaccine dose at a higher price. I am seriously considering about getting the vaccine cos I'm turning 26 soon. It's definitely worth to spend such money to love urself.

Updates for the past 1 week:

I finished my HCMC travelogue. Yeh!!! Also finished uploading all the HK trip photo on my blog and finished blogging the first day. Well, will update the remaining days soon. I should stop procrastinating, those need to be done just need to be done.

Went to Malaysia on Saturday for Ching Ming and catch up with my two 表妹 whom I had not met them for almost 2 years. As we grow up, we no longer play around like when we are young, it gets complicated that's why some people become like 陌生人。

Went cycling at East Coast yesterday and I finally learn how to cycle. Yearning to learn cycling for a long long time. Luckily i wore longer shorts and this protected me. Had some bruises and scratches on my hands and legs. Havent been excercising for super long and now feel the strain on my arm muscles. The feeling of being able to cycle is undescribleable.

Had been driving YQ's car once in a while but i have a tendancy to speed. Of cos my speeding is not exceeding 100km/h. My parking skill really need more practice, tend to tense up when there is car behind me. Need to rectify on my weakness and improve on them.

Make tiramisu on monday. First time making tiramisu and it turn out to be too sweet. I followed my ex-colleague receipe and half all the portion. Will modify the portion next time. I found from the internet that tiramisu means "Pick me up". Knew it before but forget abt it. YQ comment that it's nicer than the oreo cheesecake i make last time. Cos the base of the oreo cheesecake is to hard. LOL.

Yup, gotta start studying. YQ is so busy nowadays, almost working until 8plus everyday and also working half day on saturday. I received the UOB credit card privileges brochures and noted that there is a promotion of $25 for 60min massage at Lifespa so I booked a slot for 2 of us next sat to relax ourselves. Considered quite cheap so why not try it out.
